Why we exist
“School is one part of growing up. It shouldn't be the only place a young person finds their identity, confidence or community.”
Some kids find their place on the footy field or in the school play. Plenty don't, and they deserve somewhere too.
Cheer gives them a team where everyone has a job, where you can't do the big moments alone, and where effort gets noticed. That's what we want Skyward to be. You don't have to arrive a champion. You just have to show up, and we'll help with the rest.

A note from our founder
BELONGING IS EVERYTHING.
I've spent more than 20 years working in TV, print and the business of sport.
I've seen what sport looks like at the top. But what I care about most is what it does for a kid walking into a gym for the first time, not sure if they'll fit in.
I'm a mum, and I want every kid to have somewhere outside school where they feel they belong. A place to build their own identity, confidence and community. School shouldn't have to carry all of that on its own.
I also think we're heading somewhere exciting. Sport is more global than it's ever been, and I believe that over the next 20 years we'll see a new kind of unity across the world, built by sporting communities. It starts small, in local clubs, with people choosing to look out for each other.
That's what Skyward is about. Belonging comes first. Everything else grows from there.

Does registering commit us to anything?
No. Registering interest is free and isn't an enrolment. It simply means you'll hear from us first as Skyward takes shape.
Does my child need cheer experience?
Not at all. Our pathway starts at the very first skills. Plenty of great cheer athletes come from dance, gymnastics or no background at all.
Where will you train?
On Sydney's Lower North Shore. We'll confirm the venue once we know where our founding families live — which is why we ask for your postcode.
When do you open?
Opening dates depend on reaching our founding-family goal and confirming our venue and coaching team. Founding families will be the first to know.
What will it cost?
We'll publish full fees before places open, so you'll see every cost before you commit. Your answers in the form help us get this right.
How do you protect my child's information?
We don't collect your child's name or date of birth at this stage, only an age group. Read our privacy policy for the full detail.
